CORONAVIRUS UPDATESUpdates for how we're responding as a church to COVID-19
Update: Wednesday, March 18, 2020 – 6:15pm
We miss you! Our staff team is working to be in touch with you, and help you connect with others in new ways during this unique time. Please watch our video update from Pastors Tom and Thomas, and read the following update for important information about our ministry in this season.
Effective immediately, our weekend worship services and ministry events are suspended for four weeks, or through April 15, which does include Easter weekend. All Sunday worship services will be held online, and we have now temporarily shifted our ministry focus from in-person gatherings to virtual connections.
This temporary suspension of in-person gatherings will be evaluated on a weekly basis. If guidance from governmental officials changes, we will be ready to meet together again as soon as possible!
Just like last week, in lieu of our in-person gatherings, we will provide a video worship service to allow you to worship at home on Sunday mornings. This video will be available on calvarybible.com and will include worship songs as well as a message. You will be able to access the worship service video beginning at 8am and it will be accessible for you to view when you are ready.
• All in-person ministry programming at Calvary is suspended through Wednesday, April 15. We will evaluate this suspension weekly.
• All spring break High School Ironman trips are canceled.
• Our Easter Egg Hunt is canceled at both campuses (our kids ministry team is investigating a sterile at home version).
• All inside and outside groups are suspended from facility usage.
If you are in need of assistance, please call our church office at 303.442.3484. If you would like to sign up to serve in this season, please email Kristen Reiner, our Community Ministry Coordinator, firstname.lastname@example.org. We anticipate that service opportunities will increase in the days ahead.
We are grateful for the continued generosity of our congregation in this season of uncertainty. Because of your faithful giving, we stand ready to serve the needs of our congregation and community. Our missions team is connecting with our Global Partners around the world. As we are, many of them are isolated, and some are displaced. We are working to resource them to help meet needs and further their ministry efforts where God has called them.
We encourage you to transition your giving online, which is always available at calvarybible.com/give. Our financial team is happy to assist those who would like to set up an online account. At this time, we are still be able to process checks and gifts mailed to our church office.
As we watch the world grind to what feels like a halt, let us be the people who remember that our mighty and gracious God holds it all together. He is bigger than our fears, larger than our challenges, and may He use these days to reveal Himself in a new way!
For His Glory,
Calvary’s Leadership Team:
