Giving to Our Next Step

It is our hope that all those who attend Calvary continue to move closer to God through faith in Jesus Christ. A crucial part of our spiritual growth is to become faithful stewards of all that God provides us. Becoming an increasingly generous giver is a mark of our faith and maturity. The Bible is saturated with teaching about finances and stewardship, and we strive to live our lives according to these principles. Some of which are:

Our giving is an act of worship for the glory of God
This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 2 Corinthians 9:12

Our giving is a joyous work that emerges from the heart
Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

Our giving should be a first priority
Honor the LORD from your wealth, and from the first of all your produce; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine. Proverbs 3:9, 10

Our capacity to give can grow greater, even to the place of sacrifice
But just as you excel in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us--see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 2 Corinthians 8:7

Our giving meets needs on earth and lays up true riches in heaven
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21

How to Contribute

Please join Calvary as we take this next step of faith to build our people, to bless our community, and to make bridges to those who don't know Christ.

Here are the ways you can make a monetary contribution toward this goal.

  1. Contribute cash
Dollars of all denominations are appreciated! Cash gifts should be placed in an envelope with the words "Our Next Step" on the outside. If you would like your cash gift to be recorded on your annual giving statement please be sure to include your name.
  2. Write a check
Mail or bring a check to Calvary Bible Church, ATTN: Our Next Step, 3245 Kalmia Avenue, Boulder, CO 80301. Please write "Our Next Step" in the memo line of your check.
  3. Set up an automatic bill pay
Automatic Bank Bill Pay is set up directly with your bank and allows you to set up an automatic draft withdrawal from your checking or savings account. Contact your bank directly via their website, by phone or in person – they will provide instructions. Please include "Our Next Step" in the memo line.
  4. Give online
Online giving is a safe, secure, internet-enabled method of giving through automatic withdrawals from a checking account or a one-time debit/credit card gift. Log on to Calvary's website and select "Give/ Online Giving" from the pull down menu. If you don't already have a user account you will be asked to establish one. Follow the instructions, designating your one-time or recurring gift to the "Our Next Step" Fund.
  5. Give a gift of appreciated securities
Arrange with your brokerage the transfer of stocks directly into Calvary's account. Calvary sells the securities upon transfer, making the proceeds immediately available for funding. Please contact the church to let us know the stock transfer has been submitted so we can appropriately acknowledge the gift for your tax purposes.
  6. Purchase a Reloadable Gift Card
Purchase a reloadable gift card for grocery stores that gives a percentage back at the Welcome Center.
