The School of Discipleship is one of Calvary’s adult education ministries. Classes are held between September and May for men and women to learn and grow through practical exploration of God’s Word. You will find ordinary people pursuing an extraordinary commitment to developing an all-encompassing relationship with Jesus Christ. All classes launch on September 12 at 9am.

What goes on inside you when you read this statement: the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, all of your soul, with all of your mind, and with all of your strength?  Thoughts or feelings of elation, excitement and a strong, settled peace? Or, apprehension, sense of ‘not doing enough’, feeling deflated, or just…. nothing.  We will venture together in this class to rediscover what is so lovable about God and fascinating about Christ with the goal that our faith will become more vibrant, real and all consuming.  If you are bored of worship, feel prayer is irrelevant or a chore, are tired of serving, and just fed up with the world – This class is for you.  If you are red-hot on fire in your faith and want nothing more than ‘More God’ - This class is for you.  Join us as we seek to transform the greatest commandment into our greatest contentment.

The Book of Revelation, Meeting in CWing Study Hall
“Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy.”  Revelation is the only book in the Bible that specifically blesses the reader. Over the course of the year we are going to tap into another blessing as well, “hearing God’s Word and taking to heart what is written.”   It is the goal of the class to not only be filled with more information about God’s Word, but to be continually conforming to the likeness of Christ.

Revelation is a book about the future and the present.  It offers future hope to all believers by proclaiming Christ’s total triumph over evil and the reality of eternal life for all who believe.  Through our study we will discover how we should live for him now as we eagerly await the return of our King.   This book is about Christ’s victory and our victory in him!!!  We will do a verse by verse study throughout the entire book, examining God’s plan for his church.  All high schoolers and older are welcome to attend.  

Three Strands, Meeting in C209
Ecclesiastes 4:12 tells us, “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken”. The goal of three strands is to build Christ-centered marriages from engagement to early parenthood.  We discuss topics that are relevant to helping each couple build their marriage and their own personal walk with the Lord.  Our first study this year is The Prodigal God, by Timothy Keller.
