Sticky Faith
Sundays at 9am - Erie Campus Room C206, January 8 - March 25
Research shows that almost half of all graduating high school seniors struggle deeply with their faith. Recognizing the ramifications of that statistic, over the course of the next few weeks we are going to dive into God's truth, examine relevant research, and put into practice powerful strategies to help encourage authentic spiritual growth that will stick with them into adulthood. Students and parents of all ages are encouraged to attend. Study taught by Pastor Gary Osborne.
Three Strands
Sundays at 9am - Erie Campus Room C208
Ecclesiastes 4:12 tells us, "A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Three Strands Class is a great place to meet other couples from engagement to early parenthood and study topics that help each couple develop their marriage and personal walks with the Lord. Our first study for 2012 is from the book, Men Are Like Waffles--Women Are Like Spaghetti. Mentor couples and facilitators: Ron and Kerry Henley & Gary and Cathi McGeehon.
Walking With Jesus in Everyday Life
Sundays at 9am - Erie Campus Room C201
This class is for all who would like to walk with Jesus, at an intimate level, but sometimes find it hard to do so. It is for those who have met Christ but struggle to find Him in the regular business of everyday life. It is for those who are seeking and who question whether Jesus really does make a difference in this world. Together, in small groups, we will seek to train our souls, and thus grow in love for Jesus and one another. We will work together through The Good and Beautiful Life by James Bryan Smith. Smith writes,
"Would you like to have abiding peace? Would you like to have a heart that is filled with love? Would you like to have the kind of hope that endures even in discouraging circumstances? A lot of people want to change and would answer yes to these questions, but many of them do not believe it is possible. I used to think that way. I tried and tried to change...to no avail. Change came when I learned that transformation happens through training my soul. I have come to believe that the problem is not that we do not want to change. The problem is that we are not training. We have never been taught a reliable pattern of transformation."
Come join us as we learn to walk with Jesus in everyday life. Facilitated by: Mike Hamerly, Rod Ruble and Kim McConnell
